Clarice Eling was born in India. She studied to
become a nurse at JJ Hospital in Bombay. After completing her
nurse's training, she joined the Indian army as a Commissioned
Officer. The military sent her to the Congo for one year of service.
After completion of her duties, she left the army and came to
Canada. Then God called her to Maji Moto in Kenya where she served
as a missionary nurse for about 10 years. Her ministry in Africa
ended when, due to health problems, she had to leave Africa. On her
her way back to Canada she stopped off in India.
While in India, she visited the city of Chennai and
discovered thousands of people living in desperate poverty. Prompted
by the Holy Spirit, she dedicated herself to do whatever she could
to help the needy which included destitute street children, starving
families and homeless seniors in this region.
Tea Cup Ministries is founded on the desire to
extend the love of Jesus Christ to the people of Chennai.
